Description:

Inspired by bumble bee pollination of native wildflowers and using a palette reflecting the non-binary community, the Apidae Scarflette is made with 100% wool yarns. Scarflette can be worn with a brooch, shawl stick, or on its own. Due to potential shrinkage of wool yarns, hand-wash only with mild soap and lay flat to dry.

Artist Statement:

Artist Allison Martinson (Martin's Nest Studio) is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and parent to a non-binary youth. Allison works closely with gender expansive youth as a Girl Scout troop leader, and presents professional development training for inclusive workplaces. Allision has been weaving since 2020, and shows her work at the Mount Horeb Makers Market.
